Nomaton is a brand new project started by swedish techno veteran Erik Møller, recently most well-known as Unai. In the early noughties he emerged out of Uppsala as one of Sweden’s most respected producers of stripped-down, minimal house with releases on labels like Force Tracks and Sub Static. Since then he has played in all corners of the world, from Ibiza to Tbilisi, and the crowds at legendary clubs like Berlin’s Ostgut/Berghain and Watergate have danced the night away to his acclaimed live sets. His delicate techno-pop has wowed critics from the New York Times to The Wire, and recieved praise from house DJs as well as pop connaiseurs. The Nomaton project in many ways represents going back to his roots, back to the dark heart of techno. A heart that pounds out dirty bass lines, grinding rhythms and extatic minimalism.
