Malmö-based Martin Abrahamsson is today most well-known as one half of Sweden’s wonkiest techno duo, Donk boys. Together with Thomas Jaldemark he has played all over the world and released on some of the most respected techno labels, including Dirtybird, Trapez and Frankie. However, his musical journey began way back in the mid-nineties deep in the forests of Värmland, where he produced lush and playful electronica under several different names. His most well-known and productive alias was Bauri, with eight EPs pressed on vinyl and several unofficial underground mp3 and CDR releases to his name, leading up to the album “The Slacker Journal” on Metamatics’ Neo Ouija label. Martin was an active part of the emerging Swedish electronica scene of the late nineties and early noughties, also running the label Saundart which featured early releases from artists such as Andreas Tilliander and Erik Møller (Unai/Nomaton).
