Johan Brolund

As opposed to many other DJs, brought up listening to their parents’ Kraftwerk records and discovering their passion for music earlier than they can remember, Johan Brolund started his dance music quest quite differently. Growing up on the little Swedish island Gotland, Johan Brolund took every dance class the local dance school had to offer and yet not satisfied he set off to search the European club scene for quality dance music. The interminable pursuit of great sound and sweaty dance floors had begun.

A never ending chase that has given him grand opportunities to play at scenes like Bar25, Studio80, Weekend, Studio K & Watergate. Johan Brolund is fascinated by hypnotic techno and devoted to telling a story every time he is behind the decks.

He is Organizer/Resident at the wonderful Kruthuset – An underground Club in Stockholm presenting dance music in ways of more organic elements rather than just square visual screens and strobe lights. He is also the co-founder of Grundfarbe Stockholm and signed to Soulrock booking agency.

As an almost Resident at NMM we yet again welcome him!
